This presentation is a firm favourite of OMC’s Steve Hill, and he’s used it to land UK carp approaching 50lb over the past year. Of course, it incorporates our phenomenal Lock Hook, which means once it goes in, it rarely comes out. Better still, if the hook goes blunt, it’s easy to swap out without tying the whole thing again—recyclable!

30mm Blend Tungsten Anti-Tangle Sleeves
Dazzler Bloodliner Aligners
Vitabitz 0.7mm Crimps
Vitabitz Size 18 Micro Ring Swivels
Blend Tungsten Putty

How to tie it:

Trim off a 14-inch length of Kickback Fluorocarbon.
Cut off 5–6 inches of Ammo Braid.
Form two loops in both materials and pass the Ammo loop through the Kickback loop.
Measure the loop at 2.5cm (same width as a Cool Tool).
Wrap both tag ends of the Ammo Braid around both tag ends of the Kickback four times down.
Pinch the knot and come back up two turns.
Pass the tag ends back through the Kickback loop in the same direction as the original Ammo loop.
Moisten the knot and pull tight.
Slide on a Blend Anti-Tangle Sleeve and Vitabitz Crimp.
Crimp a small loop in the end of the Kickback.
Pull the entire rig from both ends using two Puller Tools.
Slide the Dazzler Aligner onto the Ammo Braid section.
Push the Ammo Braid loop through the front of the eye of a Lock Hook.
Slide on a Micro Ring Swivel.
Open the loop and lift it over the hook point.
With the 'D' formed, position it opposite the barb.
Mould a small amount of Blend Putty around the knot.
Floss on your bait and blob down.
CAST OUT and catch a whacker!
