Change Hooks Fast With The Slip-D Multi Combi Rig | Ali Hamidi
Looking for a neat, tidy and effective Carp Rig that offers you absolutely everything you need? Well look no further! In this short article and video, OMC Founder Ali Hamidi explains how to tie the incredible Slip-D Multi Combi Rig. Sounds complicated... it really isn't!

If there's one Rig I see our sponsored anglers mention time and time again (other than the Spinner), it's the Slip-D Multi Combi Rig. A real favourite of Steve Hill, Lee Whitty and others, this is a phenomenal Rig for tricking those real big carp.
Tied correctly, the Multi Combi is neat and tidy, and gives you fantastic re-setting properties if ejected or messed around with by fish. All our underwater filming has proven this one trait is vital in Rigs if you want to catch more carp.
The Rig also contains the perfect balance of suppleness at the Hook end and rigidity and the Lead end, meaning presentation is almost guaranteed. It's a real kick and twist character this one.
Tying this Rig might look complicated on the face of it, but once you learn the Albright Knot to combine the two materials, it really isn't that difficult at all. Let's take a closer look...

HOW TO TIE THE SLIP-D MULTI COMBI RIG
1: Cut yourself a 10-inch length of the 25lb Ammo Braid.
2: Then cut yourself 12-inches of the 20lb Blend Fluorocarbon Stiff.

3: Start the Albright Knot by making a loop in the Blend Fluorocarbon. Feed a single strand of the Ammo Braid through this loop and whip seven times up the strands of Fluorocarbon forming the loop.
4: For a simplified version of the Albright Knot simply then pass this tag end of Ammo Braid back through the loop and pull down tight. Make sure you wet the knot before tightening.

5: Thread a 50mm Blend Tungsten Anti-Tangle Sleeve on to the Fluorocarbon.
6: Finish the Fluorocarbon section with a Vitabitz Crimped Loop.
7: With the Ammo Braided section, you now need to create a Twisted Figure-of-Eight Loop of around 2cm in length.

8: Slide a Dazzlers Magoliner Aligner onto this loop, skinny end first.
9: Push the loop through the front of the eye of a size 4 Colne-V Hook.
10: Add a Tweakers Eyed Bait Screw or Vitabitz Micro Ring Swivel to the loop.

11: Pull the loop over the shank and point of the Hook, so it sits on the inside of it.
12: Position the loop so it ends inline with the barb of the Hook, then slide down the Dazzler to lock in place.
13: Mould some Blend Tungsten Putty around the join of the materials to neaten the Rig and provide counter balance.
14: Screw or Floss your bait on and you're ready to cast out!

We've seen some huge fish landed on this Rig, it really does work a treat. You can use any type of Hookbait with it too - Pop-ups, Wafters or Bottom Baits. If you want to change the mechanics slightly for even more aggressive hooking, try adding our unbelievable Lock Hooks or Dazzler Curves - you're only limited by your imagination!
The great thing about this Rig is, if you don't have your Touch Me Up to hand and the Hook has gone blunt, you can simply loop off the blunt Hook and loop on a fresh one, without tying the whole thing again. Saving you plenty of time and money!
