A
Aligner
A hook accessory designed to extend the shank of the hook and improve hooking efficiency. Aligners help the hook turn aggressively in the carp's mouth and are commonly used in modern carp rigs.
Angling
The sport and pastime of catching fish using a rod, reel, line, and hook.
B
Banksticks
Metal supports pushed into the ground to hold bite alarms, buzz bars, or fishing rods securely.
Bait Boat
A remote-controlled boat used to accurately deliver bait and rigs to a chosen fishing spot.
Barbless Hook
A hook without a barb, making it easier to remove and causing less damage to the fish.
Big Pit Reel
A large-capacity carp fishing reel designed for long-distance casting and targeting large fish on big waters.
Bite Alarm
An electronic device that alerts anglers when a fish takes the bait and moves the line.
Boilie

Bottom Bait

Braid

Hair Rig

Helicopter Rig

Hookbait

Hook Bead

Inline Lead
A lead where the fishing line passes directly through the centre of the lead body.
Inturn Hook
