Bobby Smashes The Back Of The Net With Record UK Carp
Ex-pro footballer Bobby Zamora has once again made carp fishing history with the capture of a record carp while filming for the next series of the Underwater Grand Fishing Adventure alongside Ali Hamidi and the One More Cast & UnderFishing teams.
This filming trip once again took place at the mighty Grenville Syndicate, where both Bobby and Ali were looking for revenge following a frustrating session in the last series in front of the underwater cameras.
Bobby certainly made it count, as just a few days into the trip he hooked one of the true giants of Grenville – a fish that had been on the missing list since its previous capture at 57lb in 2023.
In the net, it was clear to everyone that Bobby had not only smashed his personal best, but also claimed another fishing record – the capture of the biggest ever UK carp to be caught in front of an underwater camera.
We don’t want to spoil it all, and you’ll have to wait for the series to see the true weight, but we’ll give you a clue: his previous PB (also from Grenville) was 52lb 6oz - this carp blows it out the water!
The monster mirror was caught on a Lock Hook Spinner Rig combined with the Magic Wand. This presented an OMC iScream Pink Pop-Up over a mix of OMC iScream & Paella Boilies, Pellets, and the Grenville House Bait.
